Horseshoes for Hope
Horseshoes for Hope is the Riding & Racing Club's annual philanthrophy event benefiting Horses and Hope and breast cancer awareness.
Horses and Hope is a non-profit organization whose goal is to work with Kentucky's state equine industry to identify new opportunities to provide breast cancer awareness, education, early detection through screening and treatment referral. They also aim to raise funds to sustain such programs in the future.

Catch us (and our horses) on campus wearing bright pink! The event takes place in the University of Louisville's Red Barn. Students, facilty and staff are encouraged to sponsor and decorate an authentic horseshoe for just $5. Paints, decorations and materials are provided. Once completed, the horseshoes can then be taken home or donated back to the Riding & Racing Club. Those finished creations that have been donated back to the club are then given to women personally affected by breast cancer. Becuase as you know, horseshoes are good luck!

Lunch and drinks are also provided to those who generously sponsor a horseshoe.
